Chacefield Associates is a business consultancy providing project management and high value expert input to projects for clients in the public and private sectors. Currently the company is focused on projects in the environmental and waste management sectors.
The consultancy is led by John Cowan. A Chartered Environmentalist and Chartered Waste Manager, John has extensive experience at a senior level in policy development, project evaluation and project management. He has a proven track record of working with both public and private sectors on a variety of infrastructure projects (both with and without the use of private finance), with a focus on waste management.
Specifically in the waste sector, he has an extensive network of contacts across the public and private sectors, covering central government, local authorities, advisors, industry and other key stakeholders. He has achieved a high degree of credibility and trust through his knowledge of the sector and has a reputation as a pragmatic and influential project leader. His range of experience, having undertaken senior roles in the public and private sectors, gives him a unique insight into projects and the competing priorities and pressures that come to bear.
John's career to date has encompassed time in the Scottish Government, technical consultancy (with RPS Group), PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and, most recently, international waste management company FCC Environment. In June 2013 he set up his own company, Chacefield Associates, providing advice to clients on waste management, renewable energy and sustainability projects.
